Mission:
The BPM Roundtable mission, strategies, and tactics center on the
following premises:
-
Organizations need to adopt Business Process Management principles
to achieve the 21st century enterprise; it cannot be an afterthought
-
IT and business executives need to learn to speak the same language
and work together to achieve the benefits of Business Process
Management
-
The best way to educate organizations about the benefits of BPM is
through a vibrant practitioner community, where there is a free and
open exchange of ideas and best practices
Tactics & Deliverables:
Educating organizations about the benefits of BPM is a main focus of
the BPM Roundtable; two of the most important educational avenues are the
annual BPM Think Tank and the BPM Roundtable Quarterly Industry Programs.
These are highly interactive programs with a focus on attendee
participation, case studies and industry expert presentations.
The BPM Roundtable will also work to get the message out through the
creation of a collaborative community of practice; development and
dissemination of award programs, podcasts, webcasts, special tracks and
sessions at industry events; and publication of resources from industry
experts. The goal of this education campaign is to build awareness on the
costs, benefits, challenges and success factors of implementing Business
Process Management and to encourage more organizations to adopt BPM.
